Monthly Favorites: August 2013

069

Hooray!! The first of many Project Maganda Monthly Favorites is finally here! This month, I’ve been kind of obsessed with a lot of clothing, but I wanted to stray away from that today and focus on some non-fashion related things. So here we go–my monthly faves!

Prayer Journal

One of the things I do to stay connected with God is write a nightly prayer in my prayer journal. This green one is my second–I just think it’s really beautiful. Forest green is currently my favorite color and this journal is perfect in my room. My next-door-neighbor gave me this when I came and helped her clean her house. So Mrs. Pippi, if you’re reading, thank you! 🙂

Scented Candle

To those of you who read my “Last Hurrah” post, this should look familiar. I bought this candle in the scent “Volcano” from Anthropologie. I have never used a candle so often! I light it almost every night at my desk when I do my homework. It smells amazing and looks gorgeous. The design of the candle kind of matches that of my journal too…I think I have a secret obsession.

L’Oreal Power Moisture Hair Care Line

L’Oreal Power Moisture Shampoo, Conditioner, and Deep Conditioner–Target.

People stop me all the time to ask me what I use on my hair to make it so long, soft, and smooth. But to be honest, I don’t have a secret. I’m just lucky enough to have really long and silky hair. I switch up my shampoo and conditioner every time I run out, so it really doesn’t matter. But this time, I think I’ve found a collection to stick with for a while! The L’Oreal Power Moisture line smells really good, looks really good (I’m a sucker for packaging >_<) and leaves my hair silky smooth. The deep treatment conditioner is even colored mint green–it’ll stay in my hair care collection for a while.

I haven’t had much time to explore new music this month, but I did manage to dig up this gem by The Neighborhood called “Sweater Weather”. You can click on the image above to see the music video. It’s got a real “ho-hey” laid-back vibe to it which really rocks for the beginning of school. Check it out!

Poshmark

posh posh2

Poshmark is an app in which women from around the world can buy and sell fashion. It’s super easy to use and everyone is really nice. You  can put up your own listings, set your prices, and talk to your buyers/sellers one-on-one. You can get lightly used designer pieces for up to 80% off, and most sellers will negotiate with you. Plus, you can trade with people over the app! I could go on and on about Poshmark…but I’ll save you the headache. Just download the app (it’s free btw) and find out for yourself.

That’s all for my August 2013 favorites! Thanks for reading. Leave a comment and tell me if you share any favorites with me, or if you have a favorite product/song/thingy you want me to check out!

I went to Goodwill today and scored a major haul, so expect to see a post on that soon!

Thanks again, and I’ll talk to you all later!

Much love,

Erin
